How do I get handyman jobs on GetHandy?
Create a free account in the GetHandy web app, add your services and travel area, and submit your profile for approval. Once approved, jobs posted near you appear in your feed and you send your price. If the customer picks your quote, the job is yours.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing. Joining GetHandy is free and you keep 100% of every quote — the customer pays the platform fee on top of your price, never out of it.
Do I need to be a licensed contractor?
Not for general work like furniture assembly, yard care, snow clearing, junk hauling, or minor repairs. Regulated trades — electrical, plumbing, gas — still require the proper Saskatchewan licences for that work, same as anywhere.
How and when do I get paid?
The customer pays when they book, so the money is already committed before you start. It's released when they sign off on the finished job and lands in your bank account within a few business days. No invoicing, no chasing e-transfers.
What kinds of jobs get posted?
Handyman repairs, yard and lawn care, snow and ice clearing, cleaning, moving and junk hauling, doors and windows, and farm & rural work — posted by customers across Saskatchewan, from Regina and Saskatoon to small towns.
Can I do this alongside my regular job?
Yes. You quote only the jobs that fit your schedule and travel area, so plenty of providers start with evenings and weekends and grow from there.
