Someone nearby can do that.
Post it once and the prices come to you. Your money is held until the job’s done.
Free to post. Free to collect quotes.

Start to finish
One job, from the moment you post it to the moment it’s done and paid for.
01You say what you need
Tap the mic and describe it in your own words, or type it. Add a photo. Takes about a minute, and it’s free.
02The prices come to you
Approved locals send one all-in price each. Compare them side by side with ratings and reviews.
03You pick who you trust
Open a quote and see the scope, the materials, what isn’t covered, and the dates they can do it.
04You pay — and it’s held
One number, spelled out before you confirm. The money is held, not handed over.
05Track it, then approve
Every job in one place. When you’re happy, you approve — that releases the money. Go quiet and a 48-hour review window releases it for you, with reminders first.
You’re not charged to post, or to collect quotes.
What never changes
- Every provider is reviewed and approved before they can quote
- Payment is held safe until the task is done
- Saskatchewan now — Alberta next
The questions everyone actually asks
Closed by default, so they never get in the way of somebody who just wanted the gist.
What does it cost me to post something?
Nothing. Posting a task is free and so is collecting quotes — you’re not charged for looking. The price on the quote you accept is the price you pay. No booking fee bolted on at the end, no surprise line at checkout.
Who are these people? Can I trust them?
Every provider applies and is reviewed and approved by a person on our team before they can send a single quote — nobody quotes anonymously. After each finished job the customer leaves a review, so a provider’s track record builds up in public where the next customer can see it. That, plus your money being held until you’re happy, is the difference between this and answering an ad on Facebook.
When does my money actually leave my hands?
You pay when you accept a quote, but it’s held securely — the provider can see it’s there and can’t touch it. Approving the finished work is what releases it. On most jobs there’s also a 48-hour review window once the provider marks the job done: if you haven’t approved or raised a problem by then, the payment releases on its own. You’re shown that deadline and reminded before it passes, so it can’t creep up on you.
What if the job isn’t done right?
Raise it before you approve — tell us and we’ll work with you and the provider to sort it out, which might mean redoing the work, a partial refund, or a credit. We’re not promising an outcome and GetHandy isn’t an insurer. What we can say is that the money is still being held, so there’s something to actually resolve. You’re not trying to get cash back off somebody who’s already driven away.
Where does GetHandy work?
Saskatchewan now, Alberta next. Providers set their own travel radius, so smaller towns, acreages and rural routes are covered wherever somebody nearby is willing to drive it.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It runs in your browser — open it and you’re in. There are apps if you’d rather have the icon on your phone.

A town Facebook group
Longer — covers both sides in one post
If you need a hand around the place — there's a Saskatchewan app called GetHandy. You post the job for free, approved local people send you a price, and your money's held until the work's done and you say you're happy with it. And if you're the one with the truck and the tools, you can sign up to take the work instead. You set your own price, GetHandy doesn't take a cut of it, and the payment goes out as soon as the job's signed off. https://www.gethandy.app/how-it-works
